Ahhh...the new year is here and it's time to organize, clean and purge! One of the hardest areas to keep tidy is jewelry, as the constant morning shuffle of getting ready can leave your jewelry in a massive, tangled heap after a while. This easy, DIY chicken wire jewelry display is a fun way to organize your favorite pieces and add a little bit of rustic charm to your decor.
Supplies:
Empty Frame
Staple Gun
Gold Spray Paint (optional)
Gloves
Wire Cutters
Step 1:
Find an empty frame at your local thrift store (or you may already have one lying around your house) that you can use. Depending on how much jewelry you want to display/organize, this will determine the size of the frame your need.
Step 2:
Turn the frame laying facedown so the back is showing and measure how much chicken wire you will need. Cut the chicken wire with your wire cutters. At this step, you can choose to spray paint the chicken wire gold (or any color) or leave it the natural silver color. We decided to leave it the silver color to contract against the gold frame.
Step 3:
Using the staple gun, staple the chicken wire to the back of the frame, making sure the wire is pulled taught so there isn't any gaping in the middle.
Step 4:
Add your jewelry and voila! You have completed your DIY jewelry organizer in just 3 simple steps! For more chicken wire craft ideas and DIY projects, visit out DIY/Craft page and make sure to sign up for our newsletter!
